I have a Dell Latitude E6420 and I am trying to run the fan on "Custom Auto" to keep the laptop as cool as I can as I have recently installed a SSD with a SATA interface which is now running at 6GB which has made a major difference to the laptop performance. I will be running the fan at 2500 continuous as I am not concerned with the fan life span as it is easily replaceable but the SSD is currently running at 40C which concerns me
I have read the manual and can find no reference to the "HWiNFO Fan Control" screen and specifically the "Respin period" and the "Spin-down after" fields
Would you please point me to where I can find a description or perhaps expand on these 2 fields
