DIMM Temperature question

Hi,

So when looking at the temps of both of my dimms I see that dimm 3 gets up to 10 degrees hotter then dimm 2. So to see if its a issue with a single dimm I swapped the two dimms around and same result. I am aware that dimm 2 does not necessarily mean dimm slot 2 and dimm 3 does not necessarily mean dimm slot 3 (in this case it would be slot 2 and 4), but will dimm 2 always be one particular slot and dimm 3 the other?

In other words was swapping the two dimms a valid test. My assumption is the dimm closest to the cpu gets cooled more. And since there was no change in temp this just means that there is not enough cooling on one of the slots and no issue with the actual ram.

Thanks
