Fan speed not shown

Impressive. Would something like this not be more practical for you as well to avoid having to manually add them?

I think that method has some other disadvantages and might require certain prerequisites.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I got the update adding support for my fan sensor and while it does indeed work, about every other measurement it reports 0, so if plotted on a graph I get something like this:

Not that I am aware of, no. Can I check somehow?

If I try to intentionally leave open HWMonitor to have a known second monitor, it changes nothing to the dropped readings within HWiNFO.

HWMonitor on the other hand does not have those drops, its reported values are consistent.

Maybe ASUS software?
The HWiNFO Debug File might be useful.

I do have a few asus utilities but they are mostly driver/functionality related, afaik nothing related to monitoring anything. (It's an old laptop, this kind of stuff wasn't really prevalent back then)

I have also attached the debug file - for some reason the first time I generated one it was under one meg, no idea why this one turned so big.

I noticed that with time the measurement drops got less frequent, from virtually every other second to every few seconds, but nonetheless it still happens. Though I haven't changed anything to cause this, at least as far as I can tell. Do tell me if I can help with anything else.

Just came to say that the latest beta update does indeed seem to have fixed it. I'm curious though, what was the issue? Also when will it be released on the stable version?

The problem was that the Embedded Controller (EC) sometimes doesn't return correct data, so HWiNFO retries the command in such case now.
Next stable version release isn't set yet, it could be by the end of August.

Hey, I'm not sure this was also an issue before (reverting to an older version seems to say that it is) but similar to the fan speed readings, all the gpu readings seem to intermittently drop in the exact same manner. Why is this happening? The gpu and laptop otherwise work just fine. Windows task manager also does not report any dropouts of any kind, nor HWMonitor.

Power saving switching the GPU off when not utilised. It's normal and HWiNFO respects this.

Indeed it doesn't seem to happen when a 3d game is running, only at idle, however that still doesn't explain why it drops entirely all metrics, you'd expect to just show low (or no) utilization, not for temps and so on to go to 0...

I'm pretty sure this is not the case, indeed if the gpu usage is massive (~100%) it does *seem* that the measurement graph is continuous, but if you play something that does not peg the system it starts losing measurements and the aforementioned pattern shows up again (albeit with fewer or denser gaps, seemingly depending on usage? although im not sure). Moreover, checking task manager during this time again shows it being reported/graphed properly. This is definitely not normal.
