So I know you guys have got this question multiple times before, I searched about it but I'm still not sure I fully understand it.
As you can see in the image, the GPU Aux Power on ''current'' is higher than my GPU Chip Power. Is also higher on average and in max. The number hasn't changed in 20 minutes, it still reads 35.000W, while the GPU Chip Power reads 11.000W.
On the image attached it shows my AMD R7 360, but this also happens with my RX 580 (which when on full load, GPU Aux Power shows a gigantic amount of watts, higher than the GPU Chip Power)
My question is: which one should I look for, and why is the GPU Aux Power in ''current'' higher than the GPU Chip Power if I read this on a thread from 2018:
''GPU Core Power covers only the core rail of the GPU (measured via VRM telemetry). GPU chip power should cover entire GPU chip power (core + aux + additional logic), which is calculated by the GPU and partially measured (core and sometimes aux too) and partially estimated based on activity counters (additional logic) or fixed constants. Note, that the core power might sometimes seem higher, due to instantaneous peaks, which are averaged in the total (chip) power calculation.''
If GPU Chip Power should cover core and aux then why is aux higher than chip (on current, on maximum and on average) ?
