HWInfo Gadget - How to get it to work?

Every time I try to open the gadget, I get this message and then it closes and nothing happens.

I very obviously have no clue what I am doing and would appreciate a pointer  :huh:

Windows 8 and 10 don't have built-in Gadget support anymore. You will have to use some 3rd party Gadget extensions, or the HWiNFOMonitor, which is much more advanced.

Yes, that's a gadget too and will require a 3rd party gadget support (i.e. 8GadgetPack).
