I have probably a stupid question but I want to know the answer. I would like to run HWiNFO all the time to monitor the temperatures of my NVME SSD. But I noticed that the "disk led" is flashing more often when I have the HWiNFO turned on than turned off. So I searched in google and found out that the culprit is the S.M.A.R.T. monitoring but thats the reason why I want to use this app. So I would like to ask is it safe for the SSD NVME to poll this S.M.A.R.T every 2 second as the default setting ? Can it somehow lower the lifespan of the SSD ? Is it writing something on the SSD every 2 seconds ?
