Good day. I have been trying to get HWINFO to run on startup for days now to no avail. I have the settings correct to open on startup. Ive setup a task scheduler to no avail. I'm using the latest version as of dec 9 2023. RTSS is running as well if that means anything.

I want sensors to startup so RTSS can read the data for the OSD. Thank you.

This happens plugged in or battery.

Are you running HWiNFO from an administrative account? What happens, it doesn't start at all?

Its a personal pc. its whatever the stock account is. I can manually start it but no matter what i try, it wont run on startup.

If you try to manually run the HWiNFO task in Task Scheduler, does it start then?

Hi,

Drag and drop a Hwinfo64 shortcut in the Windows Startup folder.
C:\Users\*yourname*\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\

This should work.

no it does not. I even tried it with the portable version and setup a new task and tried to run it and it wont. The only way to run it is if i start it by double clicking the desktop shortcut icon.

That doesn't work either. does it matter if its the portable one or the installed one?

ok. I managed to get it to start on startup with task scheduler. Run when user is logged on, run with highest privileges and configure for windows 10. Then under power uncheck the first 2 boxes. Now it loads when plugged in and unplugged.

But now i have to manually turn on Framerate (rtss) in hwinfo to even get it to show on the OSD. The regular method does not work for some reason.
