I have this habit where every time I start my PC I open hwinfo and leave it running in the background until I turn off the computer. Is it okay to do this? Can it affect the performance of the PC in any way?
This is OK. Only sometimes some sensors might take more resources to read, usually the EC sensors. In such case you can enable the Profiling Time column and see if there are some taking excessive time and then disable monitoring of those.
