Memory temperature 5700xt

The AMD Radeon RX 5700xt sensors do not have a memory temperature sensor, but there is some kind of GPU HBM Temperature sensor. Does this name come from a video card or from a program, and what does it mean?

Hmm, this is a good question.. I think that should be the memory temperature, but where exactly the sensor is placed, no one knows..
That values is read straight from the GPU.

Good day. Yes, I have already compared the readings of memory sensors from GPU-Z, they are completely equivalent.

I just clarified this with AMD and the situation is following.
This value on Navi GPUs is the memory temperature, but it's not the case temperature (T_case) that can be measured on the surface of the chip. It's the junction temperature (Tj) provided by the memory sensor.
Tj is always higher and the difference seen from Tcase can be up-to 18 C (according to measurements done by AMD). The maximum value of Tj here is 105 C.
So users that were concerned about seeing too high temperatures here should not worry about elevated values and not treat this as the surface temperature (which has a limit of 95 C).
I will adjust this value in the next build of HWiNFO so it provides correct description.

Goodday sir Martin sorry for my bad english i also want to clarify sir regarding this GPU Memory Temperature/ Memory Clock Temperature does this temperature apply to my DRAM? Im kinda scared now because last week 4pc of my G.Skill Trident Z 32GB 2400Mhz DRAM just got busted for no reason. So im kinda worry if this Memory Clock Temperature im seeing is from my DRAM. I would really appreciate your reply sir Martin belated merry xmas sir

The GPU Memory Temperature is not related to main system (DRAM) temperature.
On the screenshot you posted it's not possible to determine where that value comes from, HWiNFO or MSI Afterburner..

It came from the MSI Afterburner via Rivatuner sir Martin. Many thanks for the reply sir
