Pause Sensors

I sometimes have hwinfo open to see averages (like power consumption average over period of time). But sometimes I have to tab out and do something else on my computer apart from the game I'm power testing. During that time hwinfo keeps tracking power and my average power goes down. Is there anyway to temporarily stop reading sensors and resume later apart from manually changing polling time to a very long period and setting it back?

Is this ability still not available in 2025?

Being able to pause/unpause monitoring with a hotkey would seem to be quite a basic function for a monitoring program, especially one so highly recommended.

The functionality itself shouldn't be too hard to program either.
