Virustotal found a malware in the installation package
Installation file downloaded from official sources. (I tested them all).
It's a false positive.
Some scanners or heuristics might find HWiNFO suspicious but this is because it requires privileged access to system and hardware. Without this HWiNFO wouldn't be able to provide such hardware details.
Some find the packing of executable or inclusion of driver suspicious but this is unnecessary hysteria in this case.
