Controlled Folder Access - Memory

When Controlled Folder Access says that HWiNFO was blocked from accessing memory what does that mean?

I'm not sure what exactly is triggering this as according to the description of this feature HWiNFO should not be accessing those protected folders.
But HWiNFO requires direct access to hardware, so perhaps some of these actions might be triggering it.

Could be related to drive detection and SMART polling because HWiNFO requires low-level access to the drive to perform this.
Try to disable Driver Scan if that will avoid the message.

I do get SMART reading for my primary disk. I'll try disabling Driver Scan and see if that offers any clues.
