Hi Martin on HWINFO.
This is my Laptop: Alienware 17 R5 Ranger (model 2013 and 2014)

I have 3 settings on cpu.
0 = Does nothing
2000 RPM = Does something but not good enough to keep my cPUs at bay.
4600 RPM = Leaf blower. Way too noisy.

I have 3 settings on gpu.
0 = Does nothing
2000 RPM = Does something but not good enough to keep my GPUs at bay.
3400 RPM = Leaf blower. Way too noisy.

HWInfo fan control method is broken on Alienware 17r5 Ranger also with 18 Viking (model 2013 and 2014). Very little customizable and I are stuck with only two speeds. Is it possible that you can fix Hwinfo64 capable to run with multiple settings? There are very many Alienware enthusiasts who wish that you who makes the Hwinfo, could helped with this as Dellienware fail to make appropriate fan profile on these great gaming laptop. It looks like it's just you who makes Hwinfo64 who are capable to help us ..

HWiNFO is not broken, it just does what the machine/firmware allows, so I cannot do miracles.
Do you have EC Support enabled (in this mode you should see a Compal EC sensor instead of DELL EC)? That should allow more levels, though it might cause stability issues (which in many cases can be solved by removing the battery).
