HWinfo32 hangs and 100% use one cpu core

Hi, i use Hwinfo32 with RTSS for ingame osd. Sometimes hwinfo after random time hangs and 100% load one of cpu cores. Main problem that is unable terminate hwinfo process in task manager or other programs like process explorer, process hacker, anvir. Help only restart PC. Even with hwinfo32.sys stop pending driver, hwinfo process remain and load cpu. I disable almost all sensors and disable most of standart settings, but this still don't help. Same problem was here - https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/Thread...elf-up-unable-to-close-and-100-one-core-usage

Specs:
Windows XP sp3
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ @ 2.6GHz (CPU Temp, usage sensors enabled)
DDR2 800 2GB (RAM used sensor enabled)
GeForce 9500GT  (GPU temp and memory usage enabled)

Handles and threads that don't terminate:

I will need you to capture the hang while HWiNFO is running in Debug Mode and then after rebooting attach the DBG file created.

Well, it looks like there's some problem with the system timer. HWiNFO uses this timer to measure the CPU clock, but it seems that something in the system messes with this timer too and either reconfigures it or stops, which causes an endless loop in HWiNFO. I don't have a workaround for this yet. Are you perhaps using some other system monitoring/detection tools with HWiNFO? If yes, try to disable them to see if this can fix the problem.

no use only rtss + hwinfo. Game have build in monitor for fps, latency, and frame time but i turn off this in settings of game https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/509390/page/1#p4529874 ( this game but not my thread and screens )

Maybe somehow possible kill hanging hwinfo process without reboot PC ??

Sorry, it's not possible to kill the process after this kind of hang, because it happens in the kernel.
Does the hang also happen when you don't play that game?

i don't test, cause use HW only for ingame osd, but i think no. Can be cause high load of cpu ram and gpu in game, almost all time ?? When game load new map osd don't refresh information for some seconds, and was a couple of times osd disappeared for some seconds, but after new zone loaded all work again good.

well, i will try to run game and HWinfo without RTSS some days and say what i get

Yes, theoretically it's possible that such a high load could be causing this problem. Or something else that game does..

game have poor optimisation ( but and very good pc have problems with game performance if look at the topics in the technical section ), but and my PC very old, so game load all PC components on max. Sometimes game can't load textures, game crash with error "bad allocation", "cannot create thread" or  something with directx, i think like at this moment HW is mostly hang but not always. When game run good without errors HW too run good, but too not always.

Need test ???
1) HW + RTSS without games
2) HW + game without RTSS
3) HW + RTSS + other game

I think RTSS doesn't matter in this case, so it would be good to test HWiNFO without game.

--- Today test 29.12.17

1) HW + RTSS without games 3 hours = no hangs

2) HW + game without RTSS 3 hours = no hangs

Need test more cause i get hangs approximately every 2-3 days

--- Day 2 test 30.12.17

1) HW + RTSS without games 4 hours = no hangs

2) HW + game without RTSS 4 hours = no hangs

--- Day 3 test 31.12.17

1) HW + RTSS without games 6 hours = no hangs

2) HW + game without RTSS 4 hours = no hangs

P.S. Happy New Year all

--- Day 4 test 1.01.18

1) HW without games 3 hours = no hangs

2) HW + game without RTSS 2 hours = HANG ((

That's again the same problem - something causes a problem with the system timer, most probably the game of very high system load.

but why 3 days don't was hangs :(  ?? was same PC load, same errors with game, i even start think that hangs was from rtss, but today boom and hang ((

I believe it's a rare coincidence when certain routines collide with other ones in the system.

so no any solution to kill process or disable measure the CPU clock ?

think i found cause of hangs, it was asynchronous loading. Disable it and already 2 weeks no hangs )). But what to do if other games dont have function to disable this asynchronous loading ??

catch again hang in other game ( alien swarm reactive drop ), there no option for disable asynchronous loading and i even dont know if this game have asynchronous loading.
