SMART Info: Drive Temp Reading

Hi there

Great product. First time poster.

HWInfo64 reports my drive temperature (HGST_HDN724040ALE640) as 35 degrees celsius.

The actual smart info value is "171"

How does 171 be interpreted as 35?

I'm tried looking through HEX to Decimal conversions but couldn't figure it out.

Are you sure the raw value is 171? Please post a screen showing all SMART values.
Some drives return the temperature in 0.1C resolution, so that might be closer in case 171 is a hex value.
