SSD Remaining Life Problem

I asked this question on another forum yesterday, but it occurred to me I was more likely to get an answer to a HWiNFO problem on the HWIiNFO forum. It's still at 20%. The thing that's really confusing me is, if SMART isn't set up properly in the BIOS, why is HWiNFO giving me an estimate at all?

EDIT: Also, I think AIDA64 said "not applicable" for remaining life and Toshiba's own SSDUtility says "no drive available."

I was scrolling through HWiNFO64 when I saw that, after about 9 months of use, my SSD had 22% remaining life. That was about two days ago, and it's now at 20%. Strangely, CrystalDiskInfo doesn't report my remaining life (just says 'Good') and the demo of SDLife said I'm at 100%. I'm not sure what to think or do here, and I'm starting to panic.

Fortunately, I had this report from HWiNFO64 lying around from earlier for some reason (followed by a new one).

Well, the problem is that SMART attributes are not standardized, so vendors are not bound to any standard and the meaning of SMART attributes can vary from vendor to vendor (or model to model). When trying to interpret the values we often need to rely on the particular drive model and some limited information released by vendors.
So to summarize this - for several drives nobody (except the vendor) knows how to properly interpret some SMART attributes including the remaining life / drive health. And if not even the drive vendor's tools report this value then we are often in the dark.
A different situation is with the ATA Statistics - this is a standardized method, which should provide consistent information. However, only very few tools support this (HWiNFO is among those).
So does your drive perhaps return ATA Statistics information ? I can't see it from the data you provided. If yes, then I believe the Remaining Life is read from there and should be valid.
 
How do I find out if it's returning ATA Statistics information? Also the drive is a Toshiba HG6 M.2 if it makes any difference.
 
If the drive supports ATA Statistics information you should see a "Device Statistics" section beneath the S.M.A.R.T. section.
