PCIe bus frequency on Intel G41?

On the G41 specifically, or also other chipsets? Is it that there's no way at all to get it from the MCH (or the clock generator), or that it's inaccessible once Windows is running?

Author name may display incorrectly depending on system locale

Oh, cool. Didn't know the same binaries work for Win9x. I see that now in the 6.06 changelog. I'm all for backwards compatibility. :)

Author name may display incorrectly depending on system locale

Hey Martin. On systems with the locale set to languages that don't include í, Malík is shown as Mal?k in the Welcome and About windows. Win9x is no longer supported, so Unicode FTW? :)

PCIe bus frequency on Intel G41?

Is it indeed impossible to see the PCIe bus speed on the G41 chipset?

Sectors written/read shown for an HDD?

Wow, strange. Thanks! (By "non-SSDs that report it" I meant SMART attributes such as TBW.) For future reference, if anyone arrives in this thread looking for info, the feature has been introduced in 2008's ATA ACS-2, under Annex A, A.5 Device Statistics (Log Address 04h). In the more recent...

Sectors written/read shown for an HDD?

What's Device Statistics? There are no such SMART stats on the specific HDD I'm looking at (are there any non-SSDs that report it?).

Sectors written/read shown for an HDD?

Where does the info for Logical Sectors Written/Read come from, for HDDs? It's not SMART, so some sort of Windows counters?

    HWiNFO 32-bit vs 64-bit?

Wouldn't it be better to unify everything under a single package? I don't mean including both 32/64-bit builds where the 64-bit one is a superset, but making a 64-bit helper that would be launched by the 32-bit main program, and that would fetch and relay the info inaccessible under 32-bit.

    HWiNFO 32-bit vs 64-bit?

Why does getting some Nvidia info require 64-bit? And if that's the case, I guess it's best to use the 64-bit version whenever possible. Usually I go for the opposite: use 32-bit versions of programs unless there's an obvious reason to use 64-bit.

    HWiNFO 32-bit vs 64-bit?

Is there any reason to prefer the 64-bit version? Assuming support for more than 64 logical cores is not needed. :)

Newer versions with all-in-one EXE crash on XP

Okay. I'll stick to v3 then. Thanks!

Newer versions with all-in-one EXE crash on XP

There's an old version of AVG installed. It's disabled, but there are still with some related processes running. I can kill them, besides one. I don't think it's the cause. I tried running it with the same OS install but on different hardware. Still BSODs.

Newer versions with all-in-one EXE crash on XP

I set DebugMode=1, and ran it. I reached the welcome window for the first time with a v4. So I thought the problem was solved for whatever reason and just closed it from that window to try DebugMode=0. It BSODed more or less when I closed the window. I tried running it again, still with...

Newer versions with all-in-one EXE crash on XP

I didn't disable the welcome screen, it's a fresh extract from the portable version ZIP. The BSOD is before the welcome screen. I'll try setting it in the INI and see if it can act before the BSOD.

Newer versions with all-in-one EXE crash on XP

Victor: The computer is suspect, but it does run 3.96 just fine. Martin: I'm not sure I can do that? As soon as I launch the v4 EXEs it's a BSOD. There's nothing to interact with before that.

Newer versions with all-in-one EXE crash on XP

Versions 4.60 and 4.48 BSOD WinXP on program startup, before even showing the startup dialog. Version 3.96 works. Perhaps this has to do with the newer versions using a single EXE that packs everything internally?

Reading more voltages on an ASUS laptop based around HM76?

Oh. :) There are also A55* laptops, the last letter is usually just a variant.

Reading more voltages on an ASUS laptop based around HM76?

Hey. I noticed a recent version has "Enhanced sensor monitoring on ASUS A55M series". What does it include? Would it apply to a K55? I suspect they're very similar models.

How many watt my CPU use ?

I checked it briefly on an i5 3210M. Results: Idle (1-2%): 2.5W WinRAR bench (100%): 12W 7zip bench (100%): 14-15W Unigine Heaven: Usually around 16W, peak 20W FurMark: peak 22W The 3210M has a 35W TDP. It's the same as your 350M (which is not 25W, unless you discount the graphics element)...
