Confused need help understanding.

I did some stress testing of my cpu.. And I noticed the motherboard temp seems fine.. But I do not understand what this temp means.

Under ITE IT8721f It says "cpu" Which is rocking at 52 degrees... What is this readout?

Speedfan puts a flame on it, making me scared that the freaking thing is overheating.

Still idles at 40.. Is it something to worry about? Can someone explain to me? :)

Motherboard is Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0

Any help is much appreciate.

is just the Warning that is set in the Configure settings. You can adjust them under the Temperatures tab.

I believe your temperatures are OK and there's no need to worry.
SlompOchomp already explained the icon in SpeedFan, thanks.
 
Okay then.. Thanks. I do have another question.. The first cpu readout from the actual chip I understand is inaccurate under 40 degrees. But when I stress test it on prime it makes 37 there and then no more.. But when I opened software Hwinfo reported a max temp for 42.5 (I saw it only for a second or two before the temp shot back down.)

Is that amd's sensor being stupid? at 100% load on all cores that specific readout would not surpass 37-38. But I not understand how opening a simple program made it 42.5
 
I'm afraid, I cannot explain this. It's an issue of the AMD internal sensor in CPU and unfortunately they don't publish any details about the exact behavior. You might try to ask AMD directly if you maybe get a better answer.
