Disk SMART polling frequency reset to once per 100 cycles after manual updates

Each time after updating the portable version, most settings remain in place, but the polling frequency for disk attributes is reset to being 100 times more infrequent than everything else. I usually do not notice this until the SSD is all hot suddenly after not updating for 100 seconds.

I assume you're using a different polling rate for SMART and have this settings saved, which is located in HWiNFO64.INI file. Do you preserve this file when you upgrade the portable version?

No, the file is deleted when the entire folder in Downloads is replaced with the new one. Most other settings are remembered somewhere else.

Then copy the files into another folder where the HWiNFO64.INI will be preserved.
