Fan speeds not showing after adjusting fan curve

For the first time I’ve decided to adjust my fan curve for my EVGA 2070 Super. It was on the default curve which has the fans kick in at around 60 C.

When I adjust the fans in EVGA Precision and close the program, hwinfo no longer reads the fan speeds. The temperature is correct, but the RPMs for fans show 0. If, however, I open EVGA Precision and have it on at the same time as hwinfo, I can see the RPMs being reported.

Is there anything I can do to see the RPMs?

Let me check this with EVGA and come back to you once I know more..
Meanwhile you might post a HWiNFO Debug File capturing the situation when you have EVGA Precision running and close it.

Hey Martin, I did some research and it looks like EVGA precision needs to be running for the fan curve to go into effect... so basically, it was just reverting back to the old one when I x’d it out. I just didn’t understand the software. Sorry about that, but thanks!

But you said HWiNFO reports 0 RPM when Precision is not running and that should not happen unless the fan was really stopped.

Yeah, the fans did stop. the new curve I made has the fans going all the time, but the old one had it so fans only kick in at around 60 C. Sorry, I should have clarified.
