Does anyone know what the message "Flushing Buffers" means when HWiNFO starts up ? What buffers are being flushed/purged ?

Sometimes it's fast... other times it seems to take a while, so i was wondering what it was doing :s

Thoughts ?

thanks ... Andy

Since the Windows operating system uses memory to cache disk operations and writes data to the disk deferred, they usually remain in memory for a certain time.
HWiNFO flushes these data to disk, so that in case of a system crash or freeze (which is unlikely to happen) it prevents a data loss. So it's just a precaution.
