Starting HWiNFO64 removes some drives from windows (FIXED)

Hi,

I use HWiNFO64 for my Aquasuite to deliver some sensor data.
Both are not running when starting the system.

When I start HWiNFO64, 2 of my 5 disk drives are not visible anymore for windows,
they got instantly removed when the application starts.
It is reproduceable.
I had v6.00 installed, and now 6.10-3880, but his issue occurs with both of them.
Only a shutdown can fix this issue (a restart is not enough, it hangs on restarting with a black screen then).

Any idea?

Are those SATA drives and perhaps connected to an ASMedia controller? If yes, you might be affected by this: https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/thread...-when-using-asmedia-sata-or-usb-drivers.2944/

Oh, it seems you are right.

I have this mainboard:

All series｜｜ASUS Global

In ASUS 「All series」 - , you could find most appropriate based on product features, specification or price. And you also could get product's detail information and comparsion, even add it into the wish list in buy page.

I will give it a try and will set the driver to windows standard.

OK, after restart and reopened HWiNFO this seems to be fixed,
the drives are still there.
