The CPU temperature in RivaTuner is showing the wrong value

I recently bought a Ryzen 9800x3d and I noticed that by default Afterburner doesn't show its temperature. So, I installed HWInfo to display the value through hwinfo.dll in Rivatuner. However, I noticed that the temperature shown is completely different from what HWInfo itself displays and all the other monitoring programs I have. Now, it's fine that ICUE and the HWInfo interface show slightly different values, as they have different refresh rates, but the value shown by the plugin on Afterburner is completely off.

Upon closer inspection, it seems that Afterburner is capturing the CPU temperature as seen by the motherboard (look towards the end of the HWInfo window) but not the actual temperature from the CPU sensor. Any idea how to fix this? as I said, in Afterburner I don't have any other way to display the CPU temperature except through the HWInfo DLL, so it's quite important for me to find a solution.

HWiNFO exposes all sensors to other apps like MSI AB, so the problem is not on our side.

So is it an issue with Afterburner? Once hwinfo.dll is enabled, many sensors appear that can be put in the overlay, but not all of them. The CPU package temperature or tctl/tdie, for instance, don't show up.
I saw that by right-clicking on a sensor in the hwinfo window, I can force it into the RTSS overlay without going through Afterburner. However, it doesn’t allow me to include it in a custom graphic created using the overlayeditor.dll plugin.

Thanks anyway for your reply. I'll look for a possible solution elsewhere

Tried the new beta 5?

Indeed, it worked. With beta5, I can see the values I'm interested in. Strange, I was on beta3, and it never notified me of any updates; I thought I already had the latest release. Thank you for the response.
