RTX 4070 - HWINFO64 Thermal Throttling while undervolted.

Thats what I think. But I am not so knowledgeable and I stopped digging into that long ago.

RTX 4070 - HWINFO64 Thermal Throttling while undervolted.

Thats is happening to me too. I also see it a thermal limit for a split second in a MSI Afterburner too. I dont think that this is a bug with hwinfo. It's just what the card/driver is reporting. I notice that the jump of thermal limit is happening (and not every time) only for the moment when...

    HWiNFO v7.73-5370 Beta released

I have not tested yet the new beta and the OSD, but something comes to my mind. In order to satisfy the policy, is it the executable itself must be in a secure folder or it can be a symlink (example c:\windows\system32\hwinfo64.exe -> c:\progs\hwinfo\HWiNFO64.exe, or even a directory...

DDR5 SPD Hub temperature occasionally spiking

I am having here same behaviour, but also in the minimal reading - 16C. Its absolutely impossible while I was running gpu stress and memtest simultaneously and room temperature is about 23C. Besides hwinfo, I have also aquasuite running, but same as the op, with disabled monitoring. My dimms...

suggestion for improvement - disks in sensors page

Hi Martin, I have a small suggestion for sensor UI improvement. In sensors page when you have more than one disk of, especially if they are same model, it's hard to identify who is who :) For example one of the disks is showing temperature 90C or remaining live 60% and I would like to know...

    Thermal limit percentage (AMD) question

I have a question about this new metric. I am not sure that I understand it correctly. I have Ryzen 5800X3D and below some readings during different load. App - CPU (Tctls/Tdie) - Thermal limit Cinebench 23 multicore - 76C - 84% Gaming (Assetto Corsa Competizione) - 66C - 72% Idling - 40-42C -...

HWINFO does not retain window setting

Hello Martin, I have similar problem. I am using single monitor (samsung g9 ultrawide). I am mainly using the native resolution of 5120x1440. I have arranged the sensors in the right side of the screen. But sometimes I switch to custom resolution 3840x1440 and my hwinfo windows get "scrambled"...

    HWinfo reporting incorrect TDC/EDC/PPT values

I tried to check if the issue happens with older versions. Here is the result: So after 6.40 it happens, in 6.40 and before there is no issue with initial reading of cpu details.

LogViewer for HWINFO is available !

Hi Tom. The log viewer is great tool. I am often, using it to analyze recorded hwinfo data. Since the last update with the hot-keys, I noticed may be a bug or misbehavior. I have expanded the sensor box and I know directly what I need and I want to type "Core 0 ...", but instead save screenshot...

    HWinfo reporting incorrect TDC/EDC/PPT values

Here is something more .. it happened even after normal reboot (without going into bios before that). I think it may be you are right about some other app interfering with hwinfo. I have MSI AB and Aquasuite. I disabled autostart for hwinfo and now 5-6 times after boot when i run it manually it...

    HWinfo reporting incorrect TDC/EDC/PPT values

Hi Marting. I was able to reproduce it. In my observation it happens only first time hwinfo is run after boot and only when before that I have been in BIOS. (Even without doing any change). Also captured debugs. Boot hwinfo autostarts and not showing correct = 1-HWiNFO64.DBG. Then I quit hwinfo...

    HWinfo reporting incorrect TDC/EDC/PPT values

Hi, I have manually set values for TDC/EDC/PPT in BIOS. But HWinfo (currently using version 7.07-4505 beta), reports the default values, but not the ones I have set. Bellow is screenshot comparing what HWinfo shows and what Ryzen Master shows. The ones in RM are the ones I have set in the BIOS...

    GPU Performance limit thermal.

Okay .. something strange is happening. Yesterday I was able to see temperature limit in MSI AB, but not in HWinfo. Today I got it in both. I don't believe that it really is thermal limit. However I have debug file from today. It is 344MB uncompressed. I zipped it and uploaded it here -...

    GPU Performance limit thermal.

I will try to force it with debug enabled. Will experiment .. play a game do some alt-tab, run the quickminer, switch MSI AB profiles. Is it a good idea to enable sensors logging in hwinfo together with debug? My guess is that thermal limit could be flipped only for a moment and is possible not...

    GPU Performance limit thermal.

No I have not logged. Yesterday I had in happen it less than hour. Yesterday evening I rebooted my pc for installing something, and some minutes later I played ACC and after quit I noticed that thermal has been triggered in hwinfo and then I just opened the AB monitor and extended the window...

    GPU Performance limit thermal.

Okay will do that. It make take days before thermal flip happen. I will set alarm for it in order to see it.

    GPU Performance limit thermal.

I also see "fake/impossible" readings for thermal limit. MSI 3080 Suprim X water cooled, latest nvidia drivers 466.11. MSI Afterburner temp limit is also monitored, but its graph shows flat 0 all the time.

Snapshot CPU Pooling option and Average effective clock measurement

Hi Martin I updated to latest version 6.42-4360. Now the "Average Effective Clock" is correctly calculated. But I noticed that when "Snapshot CPU Pooling" option is enabled the "CPU Package Power (SMU)" is missing. Is it possible to get it back ? :) Regards, Georgi
