Help: PC Intermittently Shuts Down While Gaming

My PC intermittently shuts down (i.e. no blue screen or wind down - just POW... right off) while gaming and almost only when I play Overwatch.

It runs my Oculus Rift and Star Citizen (graphically intensive games), just fine.

I have been sluthing a solution for almost a year and nothing has solved it. I was thinking drivers, software clashes and have moved to digging into hardware. It COULD be heating/overheat but temps are generally good (although I just have my company's IT dept look at it and then reseated the cpu fan with new thermal paste but it is now running at 100°C :(. Parking that for a minute, because these shutdowns were happening prior, any thoughts on which component may be the culprit? Do I need a new CPU? new CPU fan to increase cooling? New PSU? I don't want to buy new components unless I know its the culprit. My motherboard, i7-47770 and RAM are 7+ years old. My Corsair HX850 is about 4 years old and my GTX 1080ti is two years old.

I did a full memtest on my RAM and they are coming out as error free after several multi-hour passes.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I love excuse for put another $1000 into a partial new build but would like to source the shut down solution on the cheap if possible...
