I know Corsair has bad support but would it be possible to try adding this device nonetheless through reverse engineering it ourself's? I can help as much as possible if wanted so.

I'll also keep trying to ask Corsair for support regarding this.. hope dies last.

Thanks, this is very interesting!
But looking at how the protocol is designed I'm worried about serious collisions with other software (especially the iCUE) when another application would be accessing the device..

I've noticed, I can't access the device unless iCUE is exited.. sadly. I did post an issue on their repo for feedback on this..
but if that can't be avoided, maybe have it as an optional sensor? I'm sure plenty users would love to have it be available in HWInfo and avoid iCUE
 
So I've tried it 3 times, with icue running, without it running and with icue and no corsair services running, all of them show 2 commander pro entries (not XT, which i have) in the sensor windows but no actual measuring points are shown, i've attached the debug files inside a zip, see their names for which is which.

PS: What file format are the dbg files actually in? in case I ever want to check them myself, would be helpful in the future.

Thanks! I don't understand this as I'm sending the same packets as liquidctl, yet the device doesn't accept them and says "Invalid Parameter"...

very weird, is it a permission issue or encoding issue? I wouldn't know, both are ran as administrator.

Maybe some sort of windows protection?
then again you are receiving data so, nvm.

Seems as though maybe between sending XYZ and it receiving XYZ the data somehow get's messed up ?

Neat, the sensors get read now, fan's take a while to show up though.
Also some issues, with iCUE on and off the rgb for example flickers on and off whenever it tries to read sensors i presume.
The HWInfo sensor-list also gets completely refreshed on every update-period, as in, not the values, the list gets repopulated.
