Hello!
Have now acquired HWiNFO Pro for my Gadgets.
Works perfectly of course! Much appreciated!
I have a question about autostart and that two instances start,
one on the right side of the taskbar and one in the left shortcut bar named
HWiNFO Pro v.802-5440 - Sensor Status

Is it possible to turn this off from autostarting?
Haven't been able to figure this out, despite many tries and reboots.

Thanks and best regards,
broder

Hmm, this is a very strange appearance that I have never seen before.
Try to add some delay to the HWiNFO task in Windows Task Scheduler.

Hello Martin and thank you for wanting to help, I appreciate it!

Thought I'd start over from scratch...
Uninstalled HWiNFO v8.02
Removed HWiNFO from Task Scheduler
Cleaned up Win registry

Reinstalled HWiNFO v8.02
The mysterious icon on the taskbar disappeared.
But a small pop-up window show up, grayed out and empty except the title "HWiNFO_CommDlg".
HWiNFO autostarts and places itself in the right taskbar as it should, but Gadgets GPU Meter does not find HWiNFO.
Click the wrench settings, Shared Memory Viewer window pops up,
"Failed to connect to HWiNFO. Please ensure that HWiNFO is running, shared memory is enabled and sensors are active."

When I right-click on the HWiNFO icon in taskbar, select Sensors, save and close, the GPU Gadget Meter shows the correct values.
When I restart the computer... back to square one... "Failed to connect to HWiNFO..."
In Task Scheduler, everything looks just right.

Thanks and best regards,
broder

I'm wondering whether something else might be blocking HWiNFO.
Can you attach a HWiNFO Debug File capturing the erratic situation?

This from HWiNFO64.DBG
=======================================
- Flushing buffers...
- Initializing Kernel Driver...
Cannot open driver: 2
Installing x86-64 driver
Storing driver to: D:\--__WI~1\HWiNFO_x64_201.sys
When checking there is no such path.
=======================================
Path to HWiNFO_x64_201.sys is:
D:\--=[ Windows Temp\
=======================================
Changing Windows Temp path to default C:\Windows\Temp doesn't help.

Best regards,
broder

But there is a lot of private and personal information in it?
Can I send it to you privately? By mail?
Don't want to post it on the forum.
