HWINFO64 Pro v.742-5030 with Aquacomputer aquasuite X.67 freezes after some time

I have the following sw configuration
- HWINFO64 Pro v.742-5030
- Aquacomputer Aquasuite X.67 with a D5 Next Pump and a Leakshield connected via USB
- Using FanControl V153 with the HWINFO64 Plugin
- A Streamdeck XL with the HWINFO plugin

My use case:
I use HWINFO to read all the sensors including the Aquacomputer ones (i.e. water temp) and expose them via shared memory to FanControl and the Streamdeck.
So it is crucial for me to have up-to-date readings available to FanControl to control the radiator fans.

The problem:
HWINFO was able to read the Aquacomputer sensors successfully but after some time (minutes to hours after boot) the readings "freeze".
When that happens, I can still see up-to-date readings in the Aquasuite, but no new data is read by HWINFO and being propagated.
When I then open HWINFO and double-click the sensor in question in the sensor status view, HWINFO completely freezes (screenshot).
When that happens and I forcibly kill HWINFO I am not even able to start HWINFO again - as in: I see that there is a HWiNFO64.exe process, but it seems to be hanging as well - I am not even able to kill this new process.
In the screenshot you can also see the Aquasuite showing a graph with water temperature readings up to 37°C. HWINFO froze before that at 24.7°C.

  • Is this a known problem?
  • Is there a solution?
  • How can I debug what is happening here?

As first, try to disable Mainboard and other monitoring of the Background service in Aquasuite.
If that won't help, I will need to see the HWiNFO Debug File of the hang in HWiNFO as described here: https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/threads/read-this-before-submitting-a-report.241/
If you're unable to kill the HWiNFO process to grab the Debug File, you'll need to reboot the system and prior to that make sure that HWiNFO is not automatically started by system as that will overwrite the Debug File with a new one after reboot.
